Alex is a Discord community-management bot operated by LuhCaran for the Archero 2 Discord community. It handles things like reactions on announcements, party-invite codes, forum threads (bug reports, guild recruitment, suggestions), role tracking, and moderator on-call automation. This page explains what data Alex processes and why.
Alex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. or Habby.
| Data | Source | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Message content, in specific channels only | Discord API | Read live to detect a party-invite code, or staff feedback keywords ("noted", "fixed"...) in support threads |
| Your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar | Discord API | Used live to repost a party-invite request, tag a thread, or mention you in a role-change announcement |
| Server role assignments | Discord API | Read to detect when a member gains/loses a tracked role, and to manage the moderator on-call role |
| Server configuration (tracked roles, channel IDs) | Local configuration files | Which roles and channels the bot watches |
Alex does not use any external database. It does not permanently store your messages, your points, or a personal profile about you. Data described above is read live from Discord each time it is needed and is not kept in a separate record tied to you.
We process this data under our legitimate interest in operating the bot's community-management features, which server members and admins knowingly opt into by using a server where the bot is active.
Data is shared with Discord (necessarily, as the platform the bot runs on). Some content (like a party-invite code, or a bug report thread) is reposted to another channel within the same Discord server, visible to members with access to that channel — this is not a third party outside Discord. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or other companies, and we do not use any external database or analytics service.
We do not keep a database of user data. Message content and member data are processed live and not stored afterward, except as a normal Discord message/thread/reaction that remains visible in the server (subject to Discord's own retention, and to your server's message history).
Bot error logs and moderation actions are sent to a private, staff-only Discord channel. We take reasonable measures to restrict access to the bot's configuration, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or object to the processing of your data. Since Alex does not keep a personal database, most of your data lives in ordinary Discord messages, threads, and roles, which you or your server's admins can already access, edit, or delete directly in Discord. For any other request, contact us on Discord: @luhcaran. We will respond within one month.
Alex is intended for use in accordance with Discord's own Terms of Service, which require users to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from users below this age.
Our infrastructure is self-hosted and located in France. Data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.
If we make a substantial change to this policy (for example, adding a database or a new data type), we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally.
